You do not HAVE to have played Arkham Asylum in order to understand Arkham city because they will tell you bits of the background story in the game, but it would be better and I think you would enjoy it more if you did.

There's probably a glitch in yours. When you defeat all the henchmen, you get a trophy called "Party Pooper" or something like that. I suppose you already killed them all. Well if your Australian and purchase it from your local store it sucks balls...I had to get mine gifted to me through steam from a Kiwi friend so it's uncensored. But l4d2 I found more fun than Batman as it may be repetetive but it's so damn fun playing it co-op.

It depends on what you're in the mood for, really. Skyrim will last you a very long time. I read that there's an estimated 600 hours of gameplay if you do all that is available, and that seems accurate, as I'm 125 hours in and still have so many things that I want to accomplish, and have only gotten 43% of the trophies. It's completely open, there are tons of different things to do. You can load in every day for weeks and do something totally different, so if you get tired of working on one thing, you can just do something else.
Arkham is a LOT shorter, but it's incredibly fun. I love the little Riddler challenges. I also adore the boss fights in that game, they're interesting and usually involve strategy. It's definitely worth playing. But, if you're looking for something that is going to last you a long time and has a high replay value, then go for Skyrim.

With the rave reviews and great financial success B:AA recieved, I'm sure a sequel is in the mix for the future. Plus, the ending of the game left it open for one. Gotham City I'd say would be the next choice, but using the city comes with issues, such as: is it going to be a free-roamer? The first Spiderman game caused frustration for a lot of people because you were limited with how much of the city you can go to. I also think that B:AA was able to so thoroughly develop what it was and focus on the plot because it's map size was limited. But believe me, I have DREAMED about a free-roaming Batman game. Things like, you can grapple from building to building, summon the Batmobile/Batplane with a remote, etc. If it can make a city like GTA IV did, I think that they will find great success in it.

To simply say I went from point A to point B and "beat the game" isn't enough. The game "ends" but their are literally hundreds of loose ends and dozens of cases.

I finished it in two sittings, but those were LONG sittings. Probably 15-18 hours long, which is pretty decent, and that's only the main campaign. Then there are side missions, riddler trophies and challenges, challenge maps and rooms to get highscores on and submit to leaderboards, and a great city to explore!

I bought Batman Arkham Asylum for the Ps3 and I get to the part where after Officer Boles dies and you have to reach the islands surface. I go into the room where you have to remove the vent which should take you outside, but for me it says that my disc was ejected even though it wasn't. Hello Mad.... If you haven't updated your drivers for your video card do so first.
OK does this happen with any other games you play? If not, then turn down your desktop resolutions settings with-in your Catalyst Control Center and then turn down your graphic settings in your game video settings to match it and see how it runs then.
I have a HD 4890 running on one of my PCs and I play high graphic games with video settings high with no issues on that rig.

Also make sure all your 6pin power connections are connected properly to your video card. Tip: Prior to reinstalling your video card. How do you activate the Riddler's challenges in Batman: Arkham City?
Okay, a bit of a silly question here, please forgive me. I just got Batman: Arkham City, and am about 10 minutes into it. I have a problem, I can`t seem to open the Riddler`s challenge clues, the ones that are spread out all over Arkham City. They all seem to be covered by a little cage-like thing, how do I get these clues out of the cage so I can enjoy the Riddler`s challenges? the ones in the cages are often connected to question mark buttons. if you go into detective mode you can usually follow a trail from the cage to the question marks. the question marks are the tricky parts though. they can also be opened up with those circle question mark pads on the ground. if you see these you must step on all of them without touching ground which can be done with the line launcher but some require other ways. most of those riddler trophies you cant get until you get new gadgets so it may be easier to ignore them until you beat the game.

What graphic novel is like Batman Arkham Asylum the video game/ + what graphic novel is a batman mystery, too?
I loved the Batman: Arkham Asylum game and would love to find a batman story similar to the game's story. I've heard about Batman Arkham Asylum: A serious place . . . and don't know whether or not it is like the video game. Any help on if this graphic novel is like the game and any other graphic novels similar to the game is greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone knows of a batman mystery graphic novel I would love to know about it.

The Arkham Asylum graphic novel is nothing like the game. It's pretty well regarded, though I personally thought it was just decent. I can't think of one that's like the game though. The best Batman crime mystery would easily be The Long Halloween, one of the best Batman stories ever told. Also coming out in November is the complete hardcover for The Black Mirror, the best Batman story of recent years in my opinion. So I just go Batman Arkham City and I want to know if it's possible to turn off the help, for instance I'm doing a level and it tells me to press X to glide(it's for PS3) but I know how to glide then it says hit R1 to grapple hook something and its really becoming annoying. I have all the requirements in order to play Batman: Arkham Asylum, but it's choppy and slow. It literally took me an hour just to get to the actual game. But, when "fighting" poison ivy, you don't really see her, as she is inside a plant.
During the cut-scenes, you could always just skip 'em, but your missing some comedy gold lol. Its not that bad, considering she's not human, but a humanoid plant thing.

I have completed the Batman Arkham City campaign on the easy and normal difficulty modes but in the free play at the end of the game (on easy) I cant use the bonus skins. Yes, you will be able to turn off the 3D effect in the main menu of the game. The game should come with a pair of 3D glasses like you said. But there just the .99 cent kind. So the game won't offer true 3D anyways.

I installed Batman Arkham Asylum Demo on my computer and it made my computer real slow and its very slow itself.
I've tried everything to uninstall it but it just says unable to uninstall.
I've even wrote to there stupid compay but they havent ever replied
